Wiring Help Needed: L67 with L32 Harness
I am really close to finishing up an L67 swap for a friend and need some wiring assistance. I'm using the L32 Harness that was used by the old L32 in his 2000 Monte Carlo SS.
This is the wire that splits from the positive battery terminal, it has two eyelets. Where do these go? Starter?
Next up is three plugs that stem from the main harness around where the injector plugs stem. One male and two female.
Finally is this three pronged female connector that stems from what looks like is a temp sensor underneath the thermostat housing. I cant find a male connector on the harness for this.
Thanks in advance for any help

ok now one of the 3 your holding should plug in to a different harness that goes to the cam and crank sensor and the coil pack I will try to find were other 2 go for you

Instead of playing guessing games, why not find out where they went to begin with? Harness connectors changed throughout the years. Tis better to be safe than sorry.

I figured out that the temp sensor on the L32 had a two prong plug, not three. So I put the L32 temp sensor from the old motor onto the new one along with its 2 prong harness, which plugs into the longer white/blue plug in my picture.
Now the red/blue connector I discovered goes to the evap purge. Which is on the firewall side of the motor on the L67, instead of the radiator side like the L32. I soldered/heat shrunk extensions on there and solved that problem.
The last three prong plug goes to my MAP adapter.
So all is good except I found this guy.

I am confused, was it swapped to Series 3 SC (L32), and you are switching the setup to Series 2 SC, or it was swapped, and you guys are using the L67 shortblock because there is an issue with the L32?

It was the non SC L32, and I pulled that, swapped the trans to the new SC L62 but im using the existing L32 wiring harness.
Ok so I figured out that both the eyelets (picture one) go to the starter. One is the positive and the other is the negative.
Everything is connected except for that one two prong plug. It'* on the firewall side of the motor right behind the alternator.

Oil pressure sensor
2 knock sensors
MAP sensor-sometimes 2 bar
MAF sensor
TPS sensor
IAC valve
CAM
CRANK
Coolant temp
EGR
Inlet temp sensor
Alternator
Sometimes steering racks have a connector.
If all the above is connected, start it. See what happens.
