2001 Buick lesabre Misfire #5
I have a misfire on cylinder #5 and I replaced coil pack and wire and no luck with the misfire issue. I will change plug but if that doesn't work what should i do next. Also the misfire is intermittent. Please help thanks.

You should have changed the spark plug first.

Or you could have swapped parts with another cyinder, to see if the misfire moved.....
These engines were known for carbon tracking on the plugs......you replace the plug, and it is ok for awhile, and then the misfire comes back because you didn't replace the wires.....
You don't give the mileage, or when the last tuneup was ever done(plugs, wires, PCV valve, air and fuel filters, etc)....

Mike, thanks for the info. I replaced the plug and the car runs great. I cleared the misfire code and no further misfire. I should have replaced the plug first as you stated but I thought that spark plugs don't misfire intermittently. I replaced the coil, but i feel it will be okay as the car is at 75k and it was the original coil. So, now I have a spare coil. Thanks again , Jack.

I'd go ahead and replace all of the plugs, and throw a set of wires on it, unless money is tight.
Glad it is no longer misfiring though.
