Do you think it would be worth it to take it to a dealer & have him read the codes?

I think there'* a way to have it self diagnose. I'll see if I can find the info.

The only way to get codes is with a scan tool. I think we should be able to confirm the problem with some testing and patience. Let us know.

Since it'* a cheap part I am going to replace the actuator. I don't usually ascribe to the "let'* throw money at it" method of diagnostics but it'* not a lot of money to take it out of the equation. It should be here on Friday. I work until then anyway.

It will narrow down the possibilities. I hope it fixes it for you.

I agree.......remember there is also a position sensor in there......and if that is the problem, that could prevent the motor from moving....since you know how to install it now, and the part is not expensive, it seems the way to go....

I wanted to update you guys on this issue. I received & replaced the air mode actuator & all is fixed. Air coming out in all the right places. The actuator moved but something was obviously not right. I wanted to thank all for help with this issue. Now to I am off to fix my horn.

I'm glad you got it fixed. Start a new thread for your horn problem when you are ready to tackle it.
