I am going to try to catch a video/sound clip of the noise today. Maybe after hearing it someone here on the forums will know exactly what it is - that is what I am hoping anyway

Yes, it can squeal at times, and not at others. It may look like this one.

the blowers are actually a common problem on century/ga/alero body cars, almost as bad as the window motors and switches

It has only happened 3 times in the past two days - and all 3 times I was not recording it. Whenever I do try to record it, it works perfectly. Of course =/

Is the blower something I should take out and clean anyway?

My fiance has been driving it to work the past couple of days. Today has been a scorcher, as in very hot, and the A/C squealed almost every time she turned it on.

What could be noisy that is affected by temperature? Or is it the work load put on the system?

I really need to figure this out.

Well, the guide itself has pretty much all the pictures you would need.

I followed the guide today and took the entire blower motor out and took off the casing as well. I cleaned it up using some WD-40 and made sure the bearing was nice and lubed up. So far no squeaking or squealing - knock on wood. The only problem I see is that the blower fan itself is kind of wobly, which could be causing some of the issues as well. My diagnosis of that is time for a new blower. More than likely, next time I get paid, I will just buy one so I can feel at ease about it.

I will keep this thread updated on how long this fix lasts.

Thanks for everyone'* help in determining what was causing it in the first place!
