I have one, the original year FWD H body 1986 Lesabre Limited 2dr. Its a really neat blue color with the red full pillow seat interior. Very sweet, bought it for my lady in 95 with 70,000 miles on it. Served us well for 4 years and 80,000 miles. Then I went through the undercarriage and some minor body work and commenced to BLOW the paint job. Some droops but mainly tiger stripped the metalic in the paint. Uneven coverage. Its flat, glassy and shiny but looks BAD in the sun. All body men I talked to said "everyone does that the first few times", still didnt make me feel better. It has since been in storage with a car cover awaiting me to get brave again and ANOTHER 12 hours of block wet sanding. I start it and even run it up the hill and back everyonce in awhile. All trim is still off. I still havent taken time to get pictures but really want to, so maybe this fall.

My uncle owned 2 of them. He had the body style you have. It was a 95. Now he has a 2000 or 2001.

Ty, you're getting WAY too old. Time to move over to the bus that takes you to the Senior Center for free.

LOL I was Old a long time ago.

My family’* average life span is clear into there 90'*.

So why a le sabre you say? Well I have yet to find a new car 2000 + that is not trying to look like an old classic that would make a great "hotrod" . I know your rolling your eyes. Take a picture of a new le sabre and add big rims lower it a bit and wala first step to hotrod. Next comes the v8. After that it is basic bodywork and you have 4-500hp with that old 50’* hotrod look. Obviously the suspension would need some work but I already have that figured out. Without the engine swap it would still need some mods with a turbo or sc but just the drop and rims would cement the deal. Body work would run 500-4000.00 depending on what you did to the car and how handy you were. Frenched antenna is fun shaved handles a specialty accent cowl would really add the bulk needed up front.

Ok I have work to do now.

Ty
