i'm thinking of buying a black 1993 Buick Park Avenue Ultra with a series 1 3800 */c. I offered my friend $500 for it. it has some rust on the rear chrome bumper and has nearly 200,000 miles on it. do u think its worth $500?

Just about anything that runs ok is worth 500 these days. But a 93 is getting down to where everything else is wearing out. I had a 91 I got junked a couple years ago, and a 92 pawned off cheap last year. The baffles in the gas tank separated in one and fell to the bottom, and the car stalled around corners and stops. The gas and brake lines were rotting and breaking. I cobbled them because I didnt want to go through the expense of total new given the age and continued deterioration. Emergency Brake cables/ECM/Coilpacks/MAF'*/Clogged Cat/Exaust pipes/Leaking airstruts/Window switches~regulators, were also problems on mine. I guess it depends if you want to just drive it till it falls apart, or going to consider all the things that are aging and going to need work to keep the car nice.
