Im trying to replace my water pump.. But im a a stand still because i cant figure out how to remove the motor mount that is in front of it. Any one know the procedure in doing this?

I haven't done your specific one but I believe you'll have to use a jack and take the weight off the mount side of the engine so you can remove the bracket it attaches to. You might want to support the car on jack stands first so you have room underneath the car also. I personally use a piece of 2X6 on the jack pad to help distribute the weight of the engine when I do mine.

You need to remove the bolt that goes through the rubber, then you can jack the engine and the engine side should lift off the body side (corrosion may make this interesting). Then you can unbolt the engine side, and the frame side if necessary.

I think Randall has it right but wanted to see what the FSM Said I think it is the bracket that you are trying to remove.
Is yours base model or supercharged?
Under L67 is says remove the mount LOL...no real diagrams in first book. crazy.
The photo below shows the forward engine mount, not the bracket I think u are talking about..

Here'* a pic of the mount that im trying to remove. Ive takin off the 5 bolts thats holding this bracket on but i cant get it off. Ive raised the engine, even lowerd it. But i cant get it to come off

Im all confused here... I guess ill put it back together and attempt it another day..

As already asked, is your Park Ave the Naturally Aspirated version, or the Supercharged version?

I have not replaced one on a 97', but on my 96' PA Naturally Aspirated it was pretty easy, I did not have to remove any engine mounts, I did have to remove the power steering pump and hang it with a bungee to my hood, I was not careful when I removed the last bolt to the power steering pump though, and I let it drop onto my oil pressure sensor, which bloke it off.

If you have the Supercharged motor I do believe you have to remove that bracket, but I don't think jacking it up will help, that may make it harder, all you should have to do is use a jack with a nice wide/thick piece of wood, like a 2x6 that Stephen suggested, that way you do not damage your oil-pan, after those 5 bolts are removed you should be able to lower the jack a little, and that should let you remove the support bracket.

Hopefully somebody that has actually removed that bracket can provide some more insight for you.

Its the base model, "non supercharged" but i figured it out! Needed to remove 2 studs from the block in order to get the bracket off. (Jacking it up was not much needed only for support and lowering the motor after removing the first 2 bolts on bracket.) 1 bolt for the bracket, as well as 1 bolt for water pump is mounted behind the power steering pump so it needs to be removed im order to gain access

Glad you were able to get the help you needed.
Just be careful when removing that power steering pump, don't make the mistake I did and let it drop onto the oil pressure sensor, removing it is pretty easy, just rotate the pulley till the bolts align with the holes.
