Default '03 Lesabre low tire pressure light reset

'03 Lesabre Limited, 110,000 miles.

I rotated my tires and immediately following the "Low tire pressure" message is displayed on the DIC.

My Drivers Information Center does not have a Select or Mode button. I can access the DIC by holding the ENG/METRIC button for 5 second and than the Buick message appears. However after scrolling through all of the DIC'* menu options, there is no reset "Low tire Pressure" option. How else can I reset/recalibrate so the "Low tire Pressure" message will disappear. It has been on for the 500 miles, 10 days. The individual tire pressure readings are within 1 PSI of each other.

Any suggestions?

Does the DIC give individual tire pressures, or just them low tire message?

Being a 03 the tire light runs off the abs. You could have a speed sensor going bad.

Yes, if the DIC does not give individual pressures, it does not have transmitters in the valve stems......so the whole system is based on readings from the individual ABS speed sensors......I tend to doubt it would be an ABS speed sensor, because this would set an ABS code.....only strange thing I have ever seen with this system, is if you replace a tire.....say you have 4 worn tires, one blows out, and you put a new tire on, that new tire could set the light on....especially if it'* a different BRAND....

I know this happened after he rotated his tires.....BUT......if he adjusted his tire pressures, for example, they were all low and he adjusted them to 30 psi, this could set off the low tire light, because which ever module is doing the comparison of vehicle speed versus tire rotational speed, it will now see a difference, and may set the light.....

So if he manually checked all his tires(should be at 30 psi), and they all are within 1 psi of each other, just reset the DIC......if he doesn't know how, check your owner'* manual....it'* very simple.....basically scroll through the data with the gauge info button....when you get to tire pressure, just hit reset button and you are good to go...

Last time I had a low message it was after pulling a front tire for nail repair, even though they were all at 35psi cold...strange.
If I remember right as Gus mentioned, you scroll though to tire pressure and I had to hold the reset button in for a while to clear Low message.

My 2002 does the same thing every time I rotate tires. On the 2002 the reset button is just above the ENG?MET button. With the low pressure message on I just hold the reset button down until the message clears. It may take a few seconds
