Default Water Pump Failing?

What are the signs of a failing water pump?

For some reason I have noticed a puddle of water underneath the car near the driver side front end, just behind the bumper.

I don't know what the source is, but I was curious as to the symptoms of a failing water pump. :?

If it'* coming out the weep hole(*) in the WP, you're on borrowed time. It'* an early indication of impending failure.

That kinda sucks. I paid $20 and change for a new water pump for my STE. I guess $94.50 really isn't too horrible, but I wouldn't think there is any reason for it to cost almost 5 times what mine did...it can't be THAT different!

I know, and that was for a Reman re-furbished unit.

I am going to wait a few days and watch the leaks.....

Water pump under the airbox? Is it the washer fluid pump, or do you have an electric coolant pump?
