Seat memory and light question.
The GXP that I bought was minus the owners manual. Most things are easy to figure out but I have a couple questions...
How do you set the driver 1 and driver 2 seat memory?
Are you suppose to press the memory buttons before you turn on the key?
Only one keyless entry key fob too. Can there be a fob for each driver that sets the car to driver one or driver two?
Also the headlight **** has a variable settings, what does this **** set, how dark or light the ambient light is to turn on the headlights?
Thanks
Jeff

Dont have time before I go to town today to dig out the manual and type out the seat memory procedure and I dont remember it off hand. (I'll post it later if someone doesnt beat me too it. The GXP comes from the dealer with 3 sets of keys. Two of which have FOB'*. Both The FOB'* ans the key designate either Dirver 1 or Driver 2. IF the car knows which driver is unlocking the door, it will set mirrors, seats, radio presets, etc to that driver then. It will also do it by key if the car is already unlocked. The third key is a gray key that'* marked "Valet" It has no FOB and it will only allow the car to start and the seats and mirrors adjusted. But things like the Radio and OnStar Phone wont work. Yes the headlight **** sets how dark it has to get to switch the DRL to low beam. If you leave this off, it is set to minumum and even pulling into a car wash will turn on the lowbeams and dashlights.

Sorry it took so long to get back to this. Life and summer got in the way. You need to do one of two things before you start the seat/mirror memory setup and thats identify yourself as driver 1 or 2. The first way is to open the door with the FOB. Since you have only one FOB, use the second method and that is to select driver one on the DIC first and do the procedure, then select Driver two and do again. Dont know why you cant just use the memory buttons, they are labeled 1 and 2, but the manual says to identify yourself first. Then set the seats and mirrors where you want them and hold the Memory 1 down till you hear a beep. Then select driver 2 on the DIC, set the seats and mirrors again for driver two, then hold the Memory 2 down till you hear a beep.
Thanks for the info. I will give a try tomorrow and see if I can get the driver #2 seat memory settings to stick..
New driver #2 question..If I get a new fob can it be programed to be "#2"?
