Default 1999 olds intrigue 3.5 twin cam tranny clunk between gears..

There is a suttle clunk in the transmission inbetween gears the car only has 44k miles and should not be clunking already but the reason probally is cause i took it out one day and did 2 burnouts with it to see what it could do lighting em up wise it has the 3.5l twin cam shortstar engine....well it light up nice but i burnt out with the traction control on and the 2nd burner went into 2nd gear (BURNNING OUT) and after that it kinda clunked inbetween each gear..... any idea if the traction control caused this because the tranny should not clunk inbetween gears like that over 2 burnouts and 44k miles and any idea how long it will last like that?

You should never burn the tires out through gears. Its VERY hard on the transmission. Most likely you broke something. Do yourself a favor and maybe consider walking to your destinations, it will be lighter on your wallet.

Oh boy ! Hey, your my hero ! Most all of us did dumb stuff when young. Never proud of it or acted like it was OK or like I couldnt understand what the problem was.

I just wish I knew the point of all your car bashing braging. I tried to explain before that you would not impress anyone.

I would take it to a shop to get it looked at. You most likely put too much stress on something inside. If its under warrantly, I'm sure the dealer can look at it.

The warrentee was never taken only got 1000 mile 1 month warrentee from the dealer its been over a month the 36k/3 year was never taken because my mom was like its a GM what could go wrong (shes had GM'* all her life) her 1991 pontiac 6000-le safari wagon has 173k miles and its all original the car had 1 tranny flush at 100k and the tranny downshifts from 3rd to 2nd so bloody hard it feels like the tranny is going to fall out of the car (my dad says its from pulling stuff on long trips that he used that car to pull alot) i treat that car real nice cause my parents would geek if i broke it (they would litterally kill me) plus it makes them trust me more when the car is still running when i come home from work that car is a piece of **** tho tranny clunks hard from 2nd to 3rd weather its upshifting but down shifting is hard plus when the tourqe converter kicks in it makes a growling sound and grummble feel plus it will stall for like a 1/2 sec when you take off from a stop sign

And here we all thought the newer GM FWD tranny was better than the older GM FWD tranny , I better put the 440T4 out of the 86 in place of the 65HD in the LSS so I can start a list of broken things.
