Default GXP going crazy

k every since i got back my GXP is acting up

the day i got here it wouldnt start at -30 C*, i boosted it and fired up right away, no problem

i started it and went inside to get the battery to charge for a bit

i walk back outside and i can hear a weird tone in the exhaust, hard to explain, only way i can explain is it sound like the car is coughing, yeah i know im messed up. when im sitting in the car i can feel a little weird shaking everytime the car *coughs*

so i didnt care much for it, ive been driving the car no problem, SES light was on before i left due to the exhaust vacuum and its going into GM tuesday

what made me post this thread is the following, i left the house, the car was warm enough, after driving for like 30 seconds i hit WOT, the car felt so.... gutless? i do it again to see if it was me or did this actually happen. so once i hit WOT again same problem and the SES light started flashing, what the heck does this mean?

so now everytime i go over 3k rpm SES flashes on and off the whole time im above it, till i go below it and settle at 1k rpm it flashes for few more seconds and then it stays on

im having a long day, this just made it feel so much longer

crappy cellphone video but gives the idea
im driving on SNOW and the speedometer is barely moving which means the car is not even spinning tires on snow.
usually on water is jumps to 70 if not 80 km/h before traction even think of kicking in

The flashing is a misfire. Pull the plugs, one of them is not working right. Post up pictures of what you fine. We can tell a lot from what the plug looks like.

If you don't know how old they are, then replace them. Do you have plug wires or is that a coil over?

It'* coil over plug, they should be good to 100k miles and don't usually crap out. There are so many parameters on these engines Sam, until you get the PCM read, it'* all pretty pointless. But I do remember one, maybe it'* been two GXP'* in the past that had a coil go. The Spark Plugs in these things are a bitch to get out to just go hunting before you find what fault codes are thrown.

Agreed, get the code, there should be a p030x code, the x will be the cylinder. p0300 is a random misfire and wont help determine the problem cylinder. Just had a 3800 last week that had a bad misfire, code was p0300. After scanning for a while p0306 showed up. Bad plug wire.

I believe the coils would be, plugs not likely. Hard to say, my GMPP is out in my glovebox buried under snow.
