Default Anyone tried the Invisable 3M Pint protection Bra?

I was just woindering if anyone has bought one of these.I see them on E-Bay and was wondering if you could see these after they were installed and if the worked as far as keeping stones chips off the bumper and hood and if they installed easy and if they discollared with age?.Also the only one I seen was just the front of the hood and the front part of the front fenders and no front bumper which I would want probably the reason they dont make because all of the different front bumpers they didnt want to make all of them since there molded to fit.I get stone chips from all he gravel they put on the roads in the winter for better traction in the snow and I installed a hood bra that I bought from the Pontiac dealer but I dont like the looks with it on.Also it says these Invisable ones wont damage the paint underneath and last 5 years.Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks

If I did alot of driving with my GXP and wanted to keep it nice I would try those but I dont drive it enough right now. I am sure someone here must have tried them.

I would expect GXP Rules might need somehitng to pretoect his paint going from show to show or at least during hish speed runs on those upstate country roads.

3M makes a good kit but... yes their very visable, and they yellow in the sun....everything but glass yellows over time. And from people I've have talked to say they dont stop the chipping.... they just keep the chips in place till you peel it off. And it'* not a pretty sight. I wonder if the Ebays ones are not the 3M Film but an cheap substitution. . I have a factory bra that only goes on for rides. Even those can mess up your finish because the water gets between the bra and the moisture works on the finish over time. I dont like the look of the bra or hood deflector on car either, but cant have chips. Putting her down on her tires is only gonna make it worse so bad looking or not,, I wear my Bra. (you know that will pop up as a quote!)

Is your factory bra for the front bumper of a GXP because I tried to get one from the Pontiac dealer and they said they only had ones for the SE and the SSEI models and their bumpers were different than ours and wouldent fit..Did they finally make one for ours and if so do you have the part no. for it?I only have the hood bra from the factory since the hoods are all the same for all the Bonneville models and I need the one for the bumper in the winter and all the clear 3m bras were just for the hood and mirrors. Also did you kow that Colgan makes a black vinyl mirror bras for our cars?I went to their web page and they werent listed for a GXP but were listed for the other Bonneville models and the mirrors are all the same so it worked. My mirrors on my other cars had chips on them so I purchased these and they definatly kept the stone chips off. Thanks

Personally I was never one for the car bras. I think they do more damage than good underneath when left on too long. I would only buy one to cover a damaged front end imho..

If you dont take them off just about every time you wash your car and wash them out they get get dirt and other debris and will scratch your car.I wouldent use one either if it wasnt for all the gravel they put on the roads in the winter in Ohio.I had one on my Grand Prix but dont use it anymore since I dont drive it in he winter anymore. They are nice in the summer also if you drive on the highway at night because of the bugs. The bugs wipe off a lot easier. but I dont like the looks of them either. Some people I talked to like the looks of them though.

Cballweg, I got hte SE bra when I got the hood deflector, and it works....but not pretty.

I since found one site that sells a Lebra specific for GXP and I'm gonna call them this coming week,

http://www.global-accessories.com/pr...D=none&ACTION=

And an E-bay store has same brand but lists SLE and not GXP> whichI think are the same???? The ebay bay store is cheaper so if the SLE is same as GXP, i'll probably go for that one and put my SE in the for sale section.

http://stores.ebay.com/Discount-Auto...2QQpZ187QQtZkm

Only for trips of course. I find it hard to believe you can put any plastic against paint for an extended period and not have damage. And my custom painters telling me not to do. He'* seen a few damaged and when peeling not only do you have the chips coming off but paint around them as well

Also thinking seriously about clearing my corners again after I ran into these turn signal, parking lite LED'* from a post in a different thread. Lots of choices and bling

Let me know how he bra works out if you get one. When i got the bra for my Grand Prix I tried the LeBra first and ended up taking it back because it didnt fit right and was a lot thinner than the one at the Pontiac dealer. It was oo small.A person I know ripped his trying to put it on and took it back also.Maybe they are better made now.

The GM ones have always been a thicker grade of material. I had a LeBra for my LaCrosse also, I got it wet inside and out and put on on a hot day and it fit pretty good. .... Let ya know.
