I have a question for anyone that has a GXP. So through out the process of swapping motors of course there are items that I had adapt. One thing I have no idea abut is the secondary air pump that comes off the back manifold and goes to a pump that is then pumped back into the air box. first off I am not going to use an air box because first off they are $680.00 and a cold air intake is way cheaper. so If I don't use this air pump what will be effected? Hypothetically it shouldn't be an issue because there will be more air supplied to the motor with the cold air intake and how I am going to do it.

As an update the N* IS NOW IN MY CAR! it was a very tight fit but she is in. I will provide more pictures coming in the future days to show some of the things I had to over come.

Now that I have the 3800 out of my car I realized through out the years of fixing the engine and parts I also have warranties on those parts. I would be willing to swap out the old parts for new ones next time I go to the store and sell them and so they don't go to waste. also who ever buys them I will give my info so they can have the warranty in the future also.

Back when these were new, a very few noticed they were missing the rubber tube that feeds the airbox. (why... ?) I think it is just for smog control and not going to be a problem. Northstar'* use a little oil normally. And a little of that seems to make it back to my air filter. I have thought about just leaving the hose hang.

There'* a security learn procedure, but I'm not sure if that'* what you need. New keys usually require a Tech 2 (dealer programmer) to be coded to the car.

Did the keys come with the pcm originally or is this totally new?

yeah I Believe the security learn procedure is what I need. They are the same keys to my car, I have a new pcm for the N*. I asked the dealer and they said you just have to relearn the keys to the new pcm but I have no idea and i can only find procedures for the old keys.
