HUD Image

I was wondering if the 2000-2005 Bonnie's had a HUD specific windshield. I know in the 88-96 Grand Prix's there was a specific windshield. I ask because the image in my moms GXP is blurry and hard to read. Even at night the image is kinda dark, even with the brightness at the higest setting. I am also dissapointed of how small and low the image is. On my GP's the image is twice the size and its almost directly in my line of view. On the GXP, i must look down and yes i did adjust the image height.

yes, HUD requires a specific windshield.

Which may account for the blurry image. I noticed from 95 to 97 when GM changed HUD's the image became about 1/2 the size and the brightness was also reduced.

Having a few parts from Randy laying around, I checked another HUD and they are all the same on the post 96 cars.

Is there a way to but the better clearer Grand Prix HUD in our cars?

14 months on lot? wow... the one at a dealership (same color as yours) finally was sold and that was definitely there at least in Dec '04.. was yours test-driven at least throughout the year? that should have helped the engine stay somewhat in shape

my car has no HUD, but has the HUD stamp on the windshield, i think it was replaced at some point and the wrong windshield was installed

GMPartsDirect.com lists different windshields for HUD and non-HUD
