How to access driver side air mix actuator

My 2000 Bonny SSei only blows hot on passenger side,cold on drivers and it's -40 up here and I need heat-FAST.Pulled glove compartment and can see the passenger side actuator move but how do I get to the drivers side.I found some pictures and it looks like it's toward the counsel.Just wondering how access it?
