GXP vs.Mercury Marauder wheelspin
 

Okay. I am afraid to try this yet on my GXP but i hear that the Marauder is not able to spin the wheels with trac control off or on and it has 302hp 4.6. is this car able to smoke the tires from a standstill? My previous car was a 2000 Acura TL and it could light up the tires with trac conrol on or off. IMHO my 225 hp acura was quicker off the line but had to be pushed more.

I dont plan on beating on my car and dont expect anyone to but if you have tried let me know.

the 18's do a pretty good job hookin up on my moms GXP, but u can get the wheels to spin with the trac on/off...ive never tried lightin them up cause that wouldnt be good (if my parents found out), but it can def spin em...it being a fwd car doesnt help it much tho

Yeah i just did and the chirp for a sec. Nowhere near the wheelspin of my 2000 Acura TL but it not aboyt spinning the tires its just wanting to know that I can if i wanted to.

With traction control off, I can get a decent squeal but that's about it before the engine shuts me down! The hook up is great and that is what you want, but I also like to know that I can spin em' at will if I want too! Hopefully sometime down the road our mentors will have some HP upgrades and maybe even the PCM cracked to give us more control and HP from the GXP. I did get a small "spin" when I hit second gear one time! I wish the car would do that more often! :lol:

turning off the TC does nothing, you have to Pull the WSS to see that the car can do
