Nice! Thanks for posting the pics.

No resonator, it is a tuned performance exhaust from the get go.

From what I've seen with the STS system, the mufflers come off. I may be wrong. I've been thinking about the STS system myself but want to see results from others first.

On the STS installs I’ve seen, they replace the muffler with a turbo. Probably because 1) it’* hard to find any other place to put it, and 2) the turbo itself muffles the exhaust significantly. With the cat still in place, it shouldn’t be excessively loud. Installing that way in the GXP would allow for twin turbos at the back, although then you’ve got to plumb both turbos, which is a lot of fabrication.

My hat’* off to anyone who pulls this off in a GXP. I guess right now Venom is the craziest with NOS on a relatively new car.

Given the fact thats its an aft installation and only brings 6-8 Lbs Boost with a single turbo, I dont think a twin turbo setup would make any gains over a single. You are feeding the turbo through a single pipe and cutting the exhaust presure in half will only be a detriment. STS does make dual systems but with the engine configuration and the room GM left for practically nothing I think a single turbo and piping the boosted air back to the TB is a guite a chalenge in itself. Please note before anybody gets ancy. STS does not make a Northstar specific turbo kit as of yet and the universal one must be used. As well If a piggyback PCM controller like the one made by JetChip and a unrestricted recalibrated Maf is not installed first.,, It just aint gonna fly. The turbo is Not a bolt on and go. I still sitting on the fence and waiting to see what develops. Timing and fuel must be altered to make this work properly. I like to blaze new ground but happy to sit for awhile and let someone else do the leg work.
My nitrous is working great for the moment.. $50 a bottle gets weary but I live with it. Besides the fact I dont go far from home with no license till July '07

I also like the idea of ditching the mufflers and running the exhaust side of the turbo directly to the tips. Lowering the backside exhaust pressure can only help boost.

2.3 Turbo, I'm real interested in what a well broke in GXP can do in the 1/4 mile. I lost my chance when I got snagged in May street racing.
