47k miles Bonneville GXP $5200 salavage title
 

Interesting find on San Diego Craigslist. Salvage title, seller claims repair on right door poorly done.

47k miles, $5200. Likely more to the story. But a neat find:

Salvaged title means, it was delivered to the junkyard first, then he picked it up and ended up not dealing with the Shitstar engine issue. He's trying to pawn it off on to some other hapless person. I'll repost the whole ad so it doesn't disappear...

I know I didn't post all the pics, but just enough to taste the flavor.

I ran a Carfax on the VIN, 1 owners, Cali car. CarFax shows 70k miles, seller states 47k. Seller said obtained the car via a debt. States the gas gauge doesn't work and the paint on the repair on the right side is peeling.

Either a complete scam or a very good deal, assuming the repair was done properly less paint issue. I am going to pass- but did peak my interest at 47k miles. As 70k miles and 9 years old, the head gasket is likely a very soon to come issue if not already.

So now its odometer fraud. I would send Carfax the CL ad. Probably a cluster swap to hide something else.

Where is the VIN posted?

I called the seller. If you want a copy of the Carfax just send me a PM.

Mike, LOL, repost the same ad on CL and copy over all the Carfax data exploiting the mileage difference.
