04 GXP Selling Price

I started tooling through a few dealers in search of the 04 GXP. They are in and selling, everytime I check on-line inventory and go to look at the car, its sold. In any case dealers are willing to locate or hold next arrival. Question is, how much should I expect dealers to discount off of sticker. Figure most are stickered around 38k. Dealer offered to sell it to me for around 33k, that includes 3k manufacturer rebate (thus they discounted 2k off before the rebate).

I'm taking my time shopping, I don't have to have the car this year.

Appreciate input.

Yes you do! That seems like a pretty good price, for a new car! If you like it, grab the sucker!

i think someone told me once there is almost always a 10% markup on new cars. See if you can get the dealer close to $30k. I doubt you will get him all the way there, but you will probably get something taken off. Or you could see if he would throw in some options or something.

Wait!

I would wait till the end of the year and see what the discounts are then. In Atlanta, Ga they are not selling that great. Rebates are up to $5Gs and many places are starting prices at $34 or $35. Anyways, used might be best because the price depreciation on Pontiacs is alot. Example: 04 GTPs fully loaded with 10,000 miles and less are as low as $19Gs. 03 SSEIs are around $21 to $24Gs. So I would wait before you're kicking yourself. Thats my 2 cents!

that doesnt even look like a rora! Definitly wait till a one year used one comes your way, thats when they take the largest price drop.
