Hi Guys

I was thinking about installing some sort of a cable for my 2003 Bonneville SE so that I can enjoy my new MP3 player. Well before I started I already had two problems. 1st. I did not have an MP3 player, and 2nd I was not sure as to what I should buy and if it would work with my car.
Well as you understand buying the MP3 player is not a problem so I skipped right down to step 2.

From what I understand I have a standard DELCO CD/CASSETTE RADIO PLAYER which looks something like this http://i19.ebayimg.com/02/i/02/ea/15/27_1_b.JPG except I dont have the words MANSOON on it.

Now from what I understand you can purchase an auxuilary cable that can fit in the back of the radio which will allow some sort of sound (digital sound in this case) straight into the radio without any sort of modulators (I did not want to use any AM/FM Modulators, because most people say they suck in terms of sound) .

Now my question is this: Does anyone here know of any DELCO part/cable that would allow me to do this task ? I ve seen many cables on the internet and too many adapters but none seem to fit what I need.

To be more specific I would like to run a cable from the back of my radio, to some place near the drivers console, that would allow me to listen to any external cd player, digital player, or mp3 player, even a walkman if need me. I would also like the tip to have a mini-rca-jack on the end of it.

I found this web site http://www.discountcarstereo.com/vw_...stallation.htm so far where a Volkswagon owner gave examples and tips and some instructions as to how he did it on his car, but I was not able to find anything for the good old GM Pontiac DELCO people.

And one more note, I have found this web site XFM that shows how a DELCO owner attached his XFM and his modulator to his radio, but I would like to skip all that gear he used. Simply because I was told that our players all support external devices and they would pick up the Ipods and Dell Dj and all that stuff them selves once we click on the CD button.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as always.

But it of course requires you doing a lot of work your self, and most of them as you can see are sold as sets, not just the cables alone (so you will have to buy not just the cable but the box that trasmits the signal as well)

Give the fm modulars a try I bought one for my bonne a couple months ago and I haven't run into any problems and the sound is great.

I didn't know any stock HU had an accessory plug in the back of it. My Alpine has a "mini-jack" which I can plug accessories into, may be worth spending the $120 to have an Alpine HU and another $15 for the cord.

This thing is great but its for the Ipod alone, and i think just because its an IPOD they will want even more money. I think i need something similar to this, but with an RCA jack on the end. the same jack that headphones come with. this way i can use any device, and not lose quality in sound.

Is there any chance you can give me a link to what you have.
I itried looking it up online but for some reason i cant get anything.
