Default Components again

I'm replacing the component speakers (@ last) and I've narrowed the pack down to the Pioneer TS-A1702C or the Alpine SPS-600C. The Pioneers have a standard crossover and the Alpines have an in-line crossover. I don't know if the crossover will be any more effective one way or another. Anyone have any experience with either? Wich would you choose? There both in my budget W/ an amp and wiring, distribution block, etc.

inline crossover is where the crossover is built on the speaker, standard is a little box that you have to wire in before you go to the speaker, the infinity perfect components i have now have a standard one with adjustments you can make on it. It doesn't make a difference in your case because it doesn't look like either one is adjustable...just go with which one sounds better to your ear.

Also, what do you think about speaker baffles? Are they worth it in door speakers?

Personally I don't trust jenson with any of my audio stuff, I have used rockford fosgate, infinity, coustic audio, mtx, alpine, with good luck...I have not used speaker baffles, but if you can get them for cheap, I would go ahead and do it.
