Default Which wires are which?!?

I have a 1992 Bonneville SE that I am properly re-installing a CD player into. The pserson that put it in before I got my car didn't do all the wiring right. The problem, according to Sony, is that the stereo doesn't retain preset stations and set time because the Accessory power lead isn't connected to the right wire (or connected properly).

Anyway, There are 5 or 6 other wires that could be the correct choice... and I want to know what all of them are if possible. I'll have pics to associate with the colors provided soon.

Colors:

Pink
Gray
Light Green
Greenish blue (x2)
Orange (currently being used as the accessory power lead)

So, if anyone can tell me what the colors of the wires are for, I'd love it... come to think of it, I also need to know which is the corect wire for the power antenna for when I get the broken one replaced.

I would always recommend using a wire harnes instead of cutting the original wire but looks like thats not an option, good luck hope this helps

Or in other words, you're looking fo a yellow wire (which doesn't seem tyo be in your pic). I always just ran my own form a constant source (lighter for example)

That'* a nice list to keep handy, tho!!

Well unless my car was re-wired... you're telling me whats coming out of the wiring harness on my CD player. What I need to know is what the colors shown are for, since they are the stock wires that were originally connected to the stock stereo.

Maybe if someone around with a 92 can pull out their stereo and look at the wiring and find out what'* what? I already have the four speakers hooked up and working fine.

YAY! After days of searching, I found a simple listing is wire color and it'* use for GM... But, my main concern would be that even though bonnies are GM, this might not be 100% correct.

MEMORY ---- ORANGE
POWER ---- YELLOW
GROUND ---- BLACK
ILLUMINATION ---- GRAY
DIMMER ---- BROWN
ANTENNA (Power) ---- PINK
RIGHT FRONT ---- LIGHT GREEN [ + ]
RIGHT FRONT ---- DARK GREEN [ - ]
LEFT FRONT ---- TAN [ + ]
LEFT FRONT ---- GRAY [ - ]
RIGHT REAR ---- DARK BLUE [ + ]
RIGHT REAR ---- LIGHT BLUE [ - ]
LEFT REAR ---- BROWN [ + ]
LEFT REAR ---- YELLOW [ - ]

Sometime soon I'll be verifying the accuracy of this once I get some more butt connectors...
