Which would you buy
I am currently trying to decide between two amps. It will be used to power my front two compontents and one 12" 150w rms sub -
1. JBL 80.4 or
2. Rockford Fosgate 301x
Or I am open to suggestions. Hoping to stay around $150
Thanks

I don't think either of those amps will have enough power to run two component sets AND a sub. You could use either amp for one or the other, unless one of the amps has a very go0d tri-way output, which I did not see on their site... but I will dbl check...
Punch 301X Year: 2003

JBL 80.4
FREQUENCY INDUCTOR CAPACITOR
Crossover 6dB/oct. LP 6dB/oct. HP
(4-ohm) (4-ohm)
75Hz 8.0mH 530µF
100Hz 6.4mH 400µF
125Hz 5.0mH 318µF
150Hz 4.2mH 265µF
175Hz 3.6mH 227µF
200Hz 3.2mH 198µF
-If you are running the amp in Tri-Mode
(stereo and mono simultaneously), connect
the satellite speakers to the speaker
connector as you would a pair of stereo
speakers. Connect the subwoofer to the
terminals marked “bridged” Refer to the
chart above to determine the capacitor
and inductor values you’ll need to route
bass signals to the woofer, and the
midrange and high frequencies to the
satellite speakers. These passive
crossover components will also ensure
that the impedance of the speaker system
doesn’t drop below two ohms.
-all this was from the PDF manual from...

I know that you already bought the amp, but I would have chose the JBL as well! Nice choice! IMO, RF is way overpriced for what you get.... they are just the 'fad' and really do not put out more power than other similar amps. (as long as they're a decent amp and not some cheap knock-off amp)

I do have a question, now that I think about it --
As far as wiring goes, I will obviously be running the front speakers with the front channels and then splicing into the rear channels to also power the sub. I am assuming, then, that the sub will fade with the control on the radio (stock head unit)? So this will make it impossible to have the fade more towards the front (to prevent distortion from rear 6x9'*) and have the sub at max as well?
Tell me if I am way off base on this.
Thanks
