Just Making Sure
Ok so after looking into the matter more, i have officially confused myself. I believe i found a simple solution that i hope works. On my 2000 SLE, no bose, no Onstar, CD/casette combo player... will this wire harness do the job?

Unsure of what the RDS meant. Otherwise it just looks like a harnesa to slip over the fixed chip sitting in the back of my audio bay. I would really like to get my aftermarket HU installed myself before i get all of my other stuff done, otherwise they are going to wire subs/amp/new speakers to the stock HU on the 19th of the month
Just wondering what RDS is and whether or not it looks like that harness will work. :?:
Thanks

Harness should work. As for RDS, it is a set of words or messages sent out by the radio station your listening to, to the display of your radio. Tells you the song, traffic if enabled or civil emergencys. I believe it stands for Radio Data System.

Thanks guys. Yeah one station has that around here so it wont be a big deal. Im glad there was an easy solution to this. i was looking around at what some other people had to do it all of the custom wiring and drilling was looking pretty intimidating

should be GM07B
RDS is an HU feature since the ID tagz are broadcast with the signal
it'* totally up the the HU to decode.... not a wiring thing on the car.
and you'll need the antenna adapter as well....
We've got the same trim level....

OK. I ordered the GM07B wiring harness. So now i need the antenna adapter. Any specific ones for me to look at or maybe some links to sites who show this process? As far as antenna adaptors i am really flying blind!
