Default WHat Amp to get?

Thinking about a new amp, so many choices
Planet Audio Big Bang 2400.1
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+BB2400.1.html

Hifonics Zeus
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+ZXi200.2.html

Soundstream Rubicon
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+RUB2.600.html

Orion HCCA
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...CA-10002-.html

or buy another PPI PCX2400!?! I dont think these can compare to the PPI. I can get a used PCX200 for the price of one of these new but the old PPI'* r really reliable.
Its a shame to see PPI going down the drain.. every amp they used to make used to be high quality. for example a new PPI http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...PI+S200.2.html
and a oldschool PPI http://cgi.ebay.com/Precision-Power-...item2eadc8735a

And the new PPI kind of resembles a Lanzar Viberant amp dont it?

Sorry just kind of rambling

well i got a Type R right now. But im gonna upgrade in a few months. Prolly to 2 12" Absolute USA http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+EVW-3000.html
But my mind changes often. I was also thinking about trying a Audiobahn Immortal http://www.audiobahn.com/Audiobahn06/pages/woofers.html Ive had Audiobahn High Excursions and Flame Q'*. Audiobahn are tricky. Takes a little while to tune. If u just plug and play they miss alot of "notes". but once dialed in they hit incredibly hard and accurate

SQ or SPL?

Hifonics subs will put down a lot of power (I have a 1600W @ 1 ohm RMS myself), but I've heard they aren't as high quality as others. I picked mine up for $165 shipped, used on ebay. Still works perfectly.

Instead of getting two-channel amps, why not just get a powerful monoblock that is 1 ohm stable and wire up two 2ohm subs to run in a 1 ohm configuration?

X2 get a mono amp.id personally go with AQ cuz for the price the power and quality is good stuff. got a teammate running 3 of the 3500.1 on 3 18s and it ripped his roof and broke the windshield lol

I can honestly say though I've had only excellent experiences with Hifonics equipment. I've owned two of their amps and two of their subs so far, but they have been highly recommended by others. Just keep in mind a lot of their equipment is made purely for SPL. For example, the 18" Olympus sub I have (1600W RMS @ 1 ohm) is pure SPL. If I want sound quality on any given day, I'll swap it out for the 10" Sealed box kenwood sub I have, which is only rated for 300W RMS but sounds much more defined.

Me and a buddy of mine had Hifonics Brutus amps. Not bad. My cousin has two Old School 10" Hifonics being pushed by a 1600w Cadence Amp. Sound good with rock mainly. A good mix of SQ and ungodly amount of bass. reasonably priced and most of all RELIABILITY

Not as much for SPL because this system will be in my Daily Driver and i dont want to completely rattle it stupid. But im quessing 2 AbsoluteUSA subs 3000w each and a PPI PCX2400 1600x1 rms will beat my car up pretty bad.

Why do you really want to channel amps? That'* one thing I'm trying to figure out. Also, that amp will not be powerful enough to push those two subs.

From what I've heard and experienced in the past, its always better to overpower your subs than to underpower them. 6000W of subs and 1600W of amp?
