Default STEREO UPGRADE

Hey whats up guys, i have to admit audio is probably the thing i know the least about lol so i figured id turn to you guys for some (more) help.. I have a 98 Intrigue that came with the stock BOSE sound system, its something like 2 tweeters, 2 speakers in the front, and 2 (sub)speakers on the back deck..it also has a stock amp but im not sure what its pumping out (im sure its not much anyway)..the only thing that I have done is change the faceplate to a pioneer one (one of the more expensive models)..i am extremely satisfied with how it sounds, but i was just wondering if there is anything else i could do in order to make it sound EVEN BETTER..sum ppl i have spoken to seem to believe I should just put a more powerful amp and i will get more crisp, clean, and also more strong sound..someone even suggested replacing my speakers alltogether to something better (but im not even sure what is better than BOSE, i dont wanna end up runining my sound)..if anyone has any suggestions tips anything please i would appreciate it..thanks again guys

pretty much any mid to higher line speakers will sound better. Yes they would need to be externally amplified. The speakers in your rear deck are mids.

If you want to get better sound quality you should start with replacing the headunit. Then speakers/amp. Then look into a sub to reproduce the lower freq.

Set a budget before you do anything.

What kind of music do you listen to? what do you like? (highs, lows, flat everything, etc)

well i did replace the headunit, so i was wondering where i go from there..as for an amp i def think that will help but i am completely unsure as to what kind/how powerful etc..i listen to a little of everything, but most times ur gonna catch me listening to hip hop (lots of bass) as for subs, i dont know maybe thats somewhere in the future but for now i want to focus on making it as loud and as clear and crisp as possible..without going into subs..any suggestions for an amp?
