Please Help the Bonnie-n00b!!
OK, so I just bought a 15" subwoofer, an 800W amplifier, and I have the factory Delco head unit still in my '95 Bonneville SE (the one with a casette deck; I'd been using it for my mp3 player).
Now, it turns out that the link on the tech-know-how page is now dead. And I couldn't find a good subwoofer-install FAQ on this page for the factory head unit.
So I guess what I'm saying is, is it even plausible for me to try to install the subwoofer and the amplifier in my car with the existing head unit? Or would I need to replace the head unit with a newer version that had an RCA-out for the subwoofer? If I could install it with this unit, how would I go about that (would I need a converter/splitter off of the 6x9'* in the back, etc)?
Any help is appreciated.

What factory sound system do you have? Do you have a GAIN control? If you do, you can hook up the 2nd set of wires from your 6x9s to the sub amp. If not , you can splice into the regular 6x9 outputs. I am assuming that your sub amp has speaker level inputs.

I've not seen a button or **** that says "GAIN," but it does have a graphic equalizer, if that'* what you're talking about.
I saw that advice about splicing the sub-wires into the back deck of the 6x9... I was worried about how much signal loss that would give me and what the high frequencies that were piped into the tweeter cones of the 6x9'* would do to the sub when I split the signal into it.

I just Googled on that Lanzar amp you got... check the one you have, but it should have a low-pass filter on it, so any high frequencies would be cut before they got to your sub.
