I am going to be needing a new single DIN MP3 cd player for my car, Budget about $150.00 . Any recommendations and all opinions appreciated.

if 150 is your budget, i would be looking towards ebay. not much for new headunits are any good for $150

i would generally stay away from anything under 250 unless you really just want a cd player and are not concerned with sound quality or extraneous features.

and FWIW, IMO eclipse pwns the headunit market at the moment... i would gladly take an eclipse with litttle or no features over a comparably priced Alpine/Kenwood/Clarion/Pioneer, because Eclipe has a much superior recod in delivering phenomenal sound quality

I bought a 350 dollar jvc deck the modle 820 for $187 ebay has lots of good deal it was brand new too ... I would go to cructfield and find what deck you want and look on ebay for deal on it that is what i did ..

absolutely, i got my eclipse CD8445 on ebay for under 300 NEW IN BOX shipped (the radio retailed for 700)

Look at Alpines in your price range. For $200 the 9856 cannot be beat. I love having my iPod hooked up to it. Eclipse are nice, but you're paying for those name brand components inside.

play an eclipse headunit back to back with an alpine and i guarantee the eclipse has better quality coming out of it alpine is disgustingly overrated and over hyped IMHO. Clarion and Eclipse make a better performing radio for much less cost, sure you may not get a shiny fancy display screen, or millions of useless features, but they are far superior
