All the comforts of home
Well, I finally git around to transferring my electronics from the GTO to my Bonneville. XM radio, ipod and radar detector. This time I took my time and splice-wired all this stuff directly to power and ground, neatly tucking all the wireing hidden away from view. When this stuff was in the GTO it looked like a mad scientist'* nightmare! One cig lighter spliced into 3 with wires laying out running to each device. Everytime I would reach for my radio I'd bump the wires and "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" Radar detector would cut on! None of that crap this time.

That'* the way to go. Did you also put some nice loom on the wires where they are to keep them looking neat and clean. Even though they are behind the dash..it'* a nice touch.

Didn't loom them (they are all hidden) but i did zip tie them to a main harness behind the kick panels. I can't stand loose wires. I can't count the number cars I have worked on that had sterio wires just laid out running everywhere. Ewwwwww!
