It'll be worth it!!! I want to run a 6 or 8 ga about 4 feet to my HU and break off to an amp right there, too. Anyone tried putting an amp in the front of the car? There would definitely be some advantages...

Just be thankful it wasn't 1/0 gauge! I had the run dual 1/0, now that was hard! What did you run the wire over the strut brace and through the factory grommit? I dont really care how that looks or works. Just cut a hole on the other side of the engine bay and get a 4 gauge grommit. For what you will pay for the extra wire to run it to the other side you could of had the grommit and some change in your pocket!
