Remote Start
What is the cheapest remote setup i can get for my car with factory alarm that will remote start my car. I would like to have it before winter comes around and i freeze my *** off on leather seats. Assuming i dont get the heated seats installed before then..

The "cheapest" remote starter you can get would either be a Bulldog or Auto Command. But, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Stick with a reputable manufacturer such as DEI or Code Alarm and you'll be happier in the end. I also like the Audiovox Presteige line.

I mean it just hasto be affordable and be able to reach about 20 ft from my window to car. The winters here can be quite harsh like to warm her up in the morning. Where can i buy those alarms you listed?

The affordability is in who does the installation. You could probably buy a cheapie for $179 installed vs $199 installed for a DEI. I've seen the Auto Command at Pep Boys for $59... comes with an installation video.

You can bypass the VATS with only a resistor of equal value to your key and a relay. There are also some additional devices that learn the resistance of the key and uses that value while remote starting. These cost about $30 but are easier to install and a bit more reliable
