Securing my subs!!!
 

Well I think everyone has seen how my subs sit in the car(if not look at my sig). They are now facing the backseat, but still the same thing. For now, I am using the cargo net, and rope to secure the subs. I have heard of using metal slabs to secure it direclty to the body. Any other ideas? I need them very secure, as my driving does have some turns coming in at 40 mph, that sort of thing. I am thinking of jamming something in the sides, as well as putting some foam at the top, to prevent rattling them on my jarring rides.

I don't think thats enough for me. My problem is the subs hitting the sides of the car, as I drift through a turn, The front to back movement does not worry me so much.

I added a large hooh to either side of the sub box (closest to the back seat). Then I drilled two small holes in the braceing in back of the rear seat. I then took turnbuckels and used them on the holes and hooks to sinch the box firmly against the back seat.

They way it is now you have to actually pull my back seat out to remove the subs. I did it this way so it would be more dificult to steal (got burned once already). This way also keeps the subs VERY secure. There is absolutely no sliding of the box at all when cornering at higher speeds. I might be able to get pics later this week if it would help.

The pics would be great, your setup seems similar to the one that BonneMeMN is talking about. Defintely take those pics.

Yeah, you could use the hardware I did, and just use it on the sides or whatever.

Take some nonslip stuff for rugs under your carpet (need to do before my trip) and you should be fine. Mine don't move at all.
