Audio short out problem
Ok so ive been having problems with my audio if i take the volume past a certain point it will just short out the whole system and restart everything...i have the deck listed in my sig...so at first i thought it was just that my deck was overpowering my stock speakers so i upgraded to the speakers listed in my sig, but im still getting the problem...does this mean that the deck is just not powerful enough to handle the volume, cause im thinking of upgrading my deck come the summer...
any suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance

Several things I did when I did my install was to run all new power and ground wires as the stock ones really don't deliver the goods when it comes time to upgrade the HU. Also, your HU may have a feature that powers it down when it gets too hot....but then again, you say that it resets everything once it looses power, which tells me the constant hot or ground is at fault....but to be safe, I would try to wire in a small fan (like a CPU fan) to blow air on the HU to cool it down if it is getting a bit too warm.

pull the HU out and balence it on the shifter. Do it again. Does it get hot? does moving the wires change anything?
When you say reset does it mean that it shuts off and re-starts or you lose all your settings kind of reset

You had this problem before you changed your speakers, and it only happens when you really crank the volume. I really think you need to upgrade your power and ground wires, which will eliminate power starvation (this was mentioned in a post some time ago, can't remember the original author of it though). This may also be why you are overheating, though I could be wrong on that...it may just be that Blaus run hot

Im betting it is a mismatched speaker wire. Check the polarity on all speaker wires and make sure they are on the right post. + to + and - to - your HU should not be shutting down like that when you turn up the volume.
Another thing to consider is if you added a tweeter to the fronts, you may have changed the Ohm Load to the HU causing it to Heat up allot faster which makes it shut down.
Check the wire polarity both at the speakers and at the HU and post your findings.

wiring a speaker backwards will do nothing but move the speaker in the opposite direction of the rest. And will likely cancel out sound waves.
