Door panel troubles...
I've finally gotten around to testing out the car audio to find that pretty much all the speakers need to be replaced. The ripped-out receiver frame hasn't been dealt with yet, but that'* another story...
Anyway, I've figured out how to get most of the door apart EXCEPT for the mirror control. It'* not an all-electrical one, but one of the units that has the manual post and the cords running to the mirror.
Also, even with that still attached but loose, shouldn't the panel be able to be lifted off the door? Mine just seems to be stuck, and I can't get it to budge (all bolts and plastic retaining clips have been pulled out.)

Here'* a picture of the area that is being difficult:
It'* these three cables that I have no idea on disconnecting safely.
And for kicks and giggles, the gaping hole for the receiver showing the ripped out area...

hmm maybe if ya unbolt all the bolts, there also might be one behind the light towards the bottom,10mm iirc and then maybe you can see in the door better to see where it might be connected. i really am not sure about it but trying to help best i can lol. and that gap where you took the old stereo out would get fixed with another head unit and install kit.

The plastic is actually sheared off in that pic. You can see the retaining clip where a slot is supposed to be, but since that frame has been ripped out, there'* nothing for the clip to grab onto. Kind of a moot point right now, as I also have to replace the climate controls...
Well, I only paid 875 bucks for the car, so I can't complain too much.
