Anyone know where there is a switched wire or fuse under the rear seat for a amp remote on?? Any help would be appreciated. :D

Cowboy, I'm certainly not an expert with your generation but here's my input. If you have a power antenna you might be able to connect the amp trum on lead to the wire that triggers the antenna relay. You will probably find the relay in the trunk right near the antenna. Be carefull though, I don't know what the output of the head unit is for the remote lead. The relay will drain about 100ma and the amp will draw...say... another 100ma. If the remote output of the head unit is 250ma or greater, you'll be fine.

A thought about the power antennea remote on lead. Doesn't the antennea go down when you use the stock cd/cassette on some years? I don't know if it does on mine, I've got a stock cassette that I've never attempted to use.

That's a very good question. Are you using the factory HU Cowboy? Or an aftermarket?

I'm using the factory hu and there is no power antenna it's in the window.

There goes my idea...right down the drain. I think Rosco may have a suggestion in your other post.

if you go to the fuse box you can use any switched fuse there. you just buy a spliter of some sort. the one i use to turn mu radio on(and used it to turn my amp on before i installed my cd player) plugs in like a normal fuse but it is set up with two fuses and another wire that you run to your amp. here is the problem though, your radio will stay on when you turn the car off and you amp will shut down

I had similiar problems trying to find which fuse to hook into to control the remote wire for my aftermarket HU. I wanted to find a fuse that was on in the "ACC" position and then turned off when the key was in the "OFF" position. I checked every fuse in that damn box but none were like that. So I have my HU wired into a fuse that is on in the "ON" position and then off in the "OFF" position. My HU has a remote wire going back to my amp so it turns on when my radio turns on. I hope some of this info helps.

Do you have the BOSE system? If so, you're looking for the PINK wire feeding the BOSE amp mounted against the back wall of the trunk. The PINK wire is the remote amp turn-on from the head unit.
