Default Pioneer Premier TS-W3002SPL(Please Help)

i own a 97 ssei w/ the bose and i was wondering what would be the best amp and head unit combinations to go w/ this sub and how much should it costs. Also, are there any Alpine tweeter and 5.25 that will fit into the stock door speaker openings. Furthermore i've read in previous posts that the audiobahn 6 X 9'* are the best replacents for the bose rear speakers. Is this the consensus still or are there any other suggestions? Thanks in advance for all responses

if your going to change the HU you will need to make sure that you power the Bose amp with the HU power, if not you are not going to get any sound....

as for HU'*...everyone has the own opinion on them....Pioneer, Alpine, and Kenwood are all good models...I personally run a Rockford Fosgate but the one I have is not for the everyday listener ....pick out something you like and post up here....

also please post the specs of the sub so we can get an idea for an amp

so you need to look for an amp that puts out around 750 RMS on a 2 ohm load

what??? :?:

its the 2 ohm version so you need an amp that can run 750rms at 1ohm or 4ohm

Rockford Fosgate, JL, Elemental Designs, Alpine are all good brands too look at.

ok here we go: you can chose any HU and wire it any way you want BUT the only way you are going to get sound is if you rewire (run new wires) for all the speakers from the HU to bypass the factory amp. OR you can wire the stock amp in and use it for the rear speakers.

Pioneer makes decent stuff, I like their HU. I personally would not use any of their speakers/subs but that is not my choice, it is yours.

Hans is right on the amp, you either need something that can handle 1ohm or 4 ohms.

there are many good amps out there, what is your budget??

I am sure alpine makes that size speakers, but if you are doing all this work why not go with a higher quality?

I'm not an audiobahn fan (but its also not my system). You could build that whole thing for 1200.

Used or factory refurbished parts may be something you want to look into.

make a list of everything you want to do, and the ideas you have for what you want.

do you plan to build the box(es) for those subs?
