Radio Display doesn't work
 

I had a light go out on my display around the clock display of my stock radio, so i took the radio out and popped off the front faceplate with a small screwdriver and inspected the area, after i found that i wouldn't be able to get to the light, i put the faceplate back on, now i can hear the radio, but i have no display and no volume control, it will light up when the parking lights are turned on, but no display

I am assuming that all of those display lights share a common ground and somehow you have managed to seperate them from it by pulling the head unit apart. Are you sure that you put it back together the way it came apart? You didnt skip any micro screws like everybody else on earth does when they take apart a factory radio did you? One good thing is, if you just want another factory radio, there are several people here that my have one laying around in their garage. If you want to look into getting another factory radio, go to the buy sell trade section of the forum. You will definitely find one there

Backlighting problems are very common in these radios. If you no longer have anything on your display, you didn't reassemble something correctly. It's also possible, because there are static sensitive electronics on these boards, that you may have damaged something by incorrect handling (although this isn't as common as re-assembly problems).

Did you remove the LCD display from the board? There are 5 metal tabs that hold it to the circuit board and it's imperative that it be reinstalled correctly. There are three bulbs, only accessible by removing the LCD display, that are prone to burning out. The other lamps on the board fail commonly as well.
