Default Late model GM CD in a 1990?

Can I use a late model 96-02 factory GM CD player in my 1990? Is there a conversion harness available? I realize the SCV will probably not work, but thats OK with me.

The mounting configuration is different... Also do you have a 12-pin or 20-pin harness in your car?

I put a '93 CD player in my '89 and it required almost no modifications. I also kept my steering wheel controls. There'* a detailed description that I've done on this forum. If you need a link, just ask.
