Default real cheap remote start

hey all, my dad is a mechanic and has lots of connections. i can get a remote start for my 97 bonne for about $120. he would wire it into the keyless entry system. (hit lock 3 times and it starts up). does this sound good? also, will my radio stay on if i start it and dont get in it and the car turns off? cuase that would kill the battery pretty fast...

I would think the 10 minute rule would still apply, wouldn't it? (Accessory power stops after 10 minutes or door is opened).....

The only way your radio is going to stay on is if you have it connected directly to the battery. It'* powered along with all the other accessories.

Get the seperate unit from walmart or target.

Work much better, and more secure.

Unless he has a Mega wattage Powered Stereo system cranked on full.. I woudln't worry about it draining your battery completely in that short of a time.

got a Really Easy solution for this. Just make sure that the Radio is turned off when you get out of the car the last time you drive it. That way when you start the car the next time, it will remember that the stereo was turned off and not engage the radio
