If one of you could do me a huge favor, could you take a picture of your trunk behind the black plastic panel? I'm trying to figure out if the box on the far right of my car is actually an amplifier or if it is part of the onstar system.. thanks!

the antennae is on the rear glass.
That is what I figured too. I figured the long silver one was for the onstar, the one on the farther right was the amp. I have a parts diagram but it shows the amplifier outside the car and doesn't show where it'* located on the car.. the one part I need it doesn't show where it is. lol.

the "amp" as I think it is just says "Delphi Delco Electronics" or something to that tune...

I don't know, I"m almost convinced this mystery box is not an amp. I was giong to unplug one of the harnesses going to it but they're really hard to get off and I didn't feel like crawling into the trunk to take it out. I did however unsnap it from it'* mount and looked at the back. It had a bunch of numbers and this: LESA/BONNE/AURO this tells me all three of these cars use this module.... But apparently we know the bonneville does not have an amp unless it has BOSE and it does not look like this, and I really doubt a LeSabre has an amp stock.. Looks like it is part of the onstar. :(

I'm going to stop in at best buy tomorrow to see what they have to say about wiring in an aftermarket amplifier on my car.. The stock deck isn't going to power my Infinity speakers I want to put in worth crap.. (I'd like to keep the stock deck for a stealth install too.)

The top connector on the left hand silver box most definatly looks ike some sort of antenna connector. So i would say ONSTAR for the GPS tracking is my first guess, second would be the ONSTAR tranceiver device. (the part that talks to the onstar headquarters)

Third guess is all of the onstar stuff built into one box

I saw a blazer once come in my shop with that exact box in it. It is for the cellular/GPS function of onstar. I don't know about yours but the one i saw also had MOTOROLA printed on it. The blazer it was in had onstar. Hope that helps.
