factory radio swap
My grandma has the same car as me. Hers did not come eith the cd player and tape deck like mine. i have put a alpine into my car and was wondering if anyone knew if i could out my old stock radio into her car. i know i had some troubler getting my aftermarket radio to work with the car but this is just another g.m. piece of ***t. mine did have the ribbon cable on the back but i do not wanna take her car apart if it is not gonna work.

so you think that the tape deck that does not have a cd player has a diffrent harness then mine. it is the same year of car. i know that mine is the 32 pin connector not the normal gm harness. i just do not know about hers

I theroy sounds like it should work BUT is your old one the BOSE, guessing that it is, since your Grandmas isn't not sure if it would work. If she'* got a ribbon though, I think it WOULD work.
Guess you wont know untill you see the back of your grandmas radio, maybe start a new thead in the +2000 and sure somebody with an SE has changed radios and could help you out.
