How to fix steering wheel controls.
My 94 se steering wheel controls have been out for a while. I tried blowing the dust out. Is there a fuse or something i should replace. They arnt that important but could be useful.

Most likely the rubber pushing pieces inside have turned to mush.
Search on toothpicks and fixing them. I know there'* a few posts about how long to cut toothpics in order to replace the mushy pieces.

I’m doing this repair right now also. I was going to take some pictures of the switches, but I guess its self explanatory. I was checking voltages and finally I thought - I'll take a look at the switches. If it’* not a plastic part then it’* a rubber part that fails – jeez. That rubber sure gets gooey. Should have some here first and seen this thread. Good job guys.

It worked pretty well for me too. I have all the buttons fixed, except i took a few shortcuts and broke all the leds in them. No big deal, but the buttons work fantastic.
