Best place for tweeter component in front door of 2000 SE?
I'm going to be putting in a 5.25 component system in the front doors. The component system includes a 1" tweeter. Does it sound better to install this tweeter in the stock SLE/SSEi position up near the top of the door in the triangle piece (my car currently has no hole for this at all as it only came with the 4 speaker system total), or put the tweeter a couple inches diagonally from the 5.25" speaker kinda middlish in the door?
Seems like the middle of the door install would be more inconspicuous and easier to install, but I wonder if they would even fill with sound very well if they are down so low. The sound from the tweeter in the middle of the driver'* door would seem to be completely blocked with me sitting right next to it.

IIRC, my 2000 SE came with 6.5" speakers in the door.
The stock tweeter location works, but could greatly be improved upon. The tweeter mounts aim the tweeter on the passenger side fairly well, but on the drivers side, the tweeter aiming will get blocked by the 'hump' of the guage cluster in the dashboard.

My 01' SE has the tweeters in the triangle piece at the top of the door. I would definitely say put the tweeters there; sound would be blocked if you put them any lower. Treble is very directionally sensitive.

I would think the best way to resolve this is to use a few pieces of velcro and attach the tweets in different places and try them until you get the right place.
My 02 SE has the door mount tweets I thought it was pretty well standard issue with the Bonnies? Maybe not though.
I am considering just using the factory grills in those locations and taking the A pillar out and doing something up with fiberglass?? Maybe not though I may go the easy way out.
This is just my opnion
