Well, I have the cables in. They're pretty! Got all color matching too. Definitely looks like some very high quality cable despite being CCA. The 1/0 gauge CCA is amazingly flexible. Its insane! I also have the ground distribution block, and the power ring terminal. That terminal is REALLY beefy.

I spent most of the day doing some repairs on the Regal and cleaning the garage, so once I finish cleaning the garage tomorrow, I'll take some pictures of everything and get it all put together.

What line of Knu wire did you get? KLMX, Kolossus Fleks, KCA Kable? I have some of the KLMX wire in my install and I can't say that I was all that impressed with it. I had a hell of a time getting the strands to lay down so I could get it into my distro block, and it'* flexibility isn't anything to write home about. Next time I'm definitely investing in the Kolossus Fleks wire.

Yeah, pictures!

Yeah, pictures!
The 1/0 was KCA, and the rest was KLMX. It is annoying getting the wire to lay down so you can get it in the distribution block. I found twisting helped a lot. Didn't have any problems getting the cable in the terminal earlier.

I think the KCA cable is pretty damn flexible. I tied a knot with it earlier and I barely pulled on it. That stuff can really bend.

I felt nice so I took some pictures. Subs are a bit dusty because they've been sitting on the floor for a while.

Yeah, the KCA is pretty much a hybrid between the KLMX and Fleks wire, you get the CCA from the KLMX and the flexibility of the Fleks. Man, I was going insane trying to get that damn wire to fit the distro block, twisted it a zillion times, tried to hold it firmly, I ended up trimming away a few strands to get it to fit

The hardware looks nice, good choices

And those subs, oh man, I think you're gonna be a happy camper once you get them making noise

looks like some good stuff X. Did not expect to see that style of terminals on those subs tho. Thats differant. Not a bad thing persay, just thought they strayed away from that type. I sure would like to see and hear the final product

Well they are pretty old IIRC, like 7+ years old. I'm still thinking about whether or not to get terminals for those connections, or to just solder the wires on.

Ive had a few subs with those style of connection, they never did me wrong. I always crimped on the female end to my wire and its always shown to be a reliable, good connection.
Actually i still have a sub with those. 12" Cerwin Vega HED

I just remembered, the KNU wire is oversized. To somewhat make up for the lack of conductivity between CCA and Copper, KNU'* CCA uses 34 gauge strands, while their 1/0 AWG copper wire uses 36 gauge strands. That increase in size might be why you had trouble.

I just went out and got the MDF cut. $31 out here for the whole sheet. Got some wood glue to seal it up, some 1-5/8" coarse thread drywall screws, and some staples. I already have carpeting to wrap it with so I decided wood filler wouldn't be necessary.

I had some questions though. How far apart should I space the screws?

Also, was I supposed to get a third "side" piece to block off the two subs to separate them, or are they all using the same airspace? Does it matter?
