Default MP3 Player + Alpine CDA 9823

Hey,

I have had this HU for awhile now and I absolutely loved it. I finally got a new MP3 player that is worth having in my car (not an ipod). When I bought the HU, for some reason I was under the impression that it had RCA inputs. If I was wrong on that, I am pretty sure you were supposed to be able to EASILY hook up an MP3 player to it using the headphone jack.

Now I can't seem to find anything about that anywhere. I really don't want to get a FM transmitter, I want to find a way to mount my player in my car.

So, am I nuts, or is there a way to do this on this HU?
