96 AM FM CD Radio Backlight problem
I seem to be losing the backlight on my radio when the headlights come on. The light seems to work fine during daylight hours, but when the automatic headlights click on or if I turn the lights on..no backlighting and I can't see what'* happening with the radio.
Are there multiple circuits the lamp? Is it a matter of too little voltage getting to the lamp? Sounds like there is a relay that clicks on the headlamps and dims the dash.
There is a small ribbon connector that goes from the main radio board to the display. Does anybody have a wiring diagram for the radio that would explain what each conductor controls? If thinking that I might have a bad connection on the wire that powers the lamp when the headlights are on.
Spit
seperate conductors is it possible that one
