moving the compass

i have herad that afte rinstalling aftermarket subs and spkrs a solution is to center the compass on the trunk ceiling but that it still will need calibration somewhat often, is there anywhere else i could move the compass, like into the engine compartment or to the back of the turnk lid, so it would be further formt he subs?

i dont thing that it really matters where the compass is relocated, You just need to keep it away from big magnets (speakers). amny have just moved it back further than the factory location. I would suppose that it wouldnt hurt to mount it on the deck lid, you could extedn the wiring and run it through the existing wire loom that is already running to the lights and the realease mechanism

I reclocated mine to under the back seat. there should be enough padding to keep it safe there. There isnt much room under the rear deck for it, and even so it would be too close to the speakers even there. Try to keep it at least a foot and a half away from the speaker magnets
