Default Need some sub advice

I'm looking to pick up a sub to replace my 15" Hifonics sub. Its loud, but its pure SPL and I'm past that. Its fun every now and then, but I cannot use my trunk and it weighs a LOT. Its up for sale if you know anyone that'* interested (1600W RMS @ 1 ohm). See the for sale section.

I'm considering two subs now, an RE Audio SEX10D2, and a Sundown Audio SA-10 D2, both 10" subs.

I'll be running one of these off of my Hifonics BXi 1610D.

I can get the Sundown sub for $180, and the RE sub for $130. I'm looking more for SQ and will be building a sealed box. Which would you recommend and why?

Sundown

RE

Take a look at the Fi subs also. They are at the same level as Sundown and RE but many prefer Fi. And u can choose your options with a Fi and built ur own sub from scratch

But out of the two I would say RE.. They tend to be stout and over built (if that makes sense).

Can I get them at the same price point? My limit is $180.

Here'* another option I'm considering. 2 of these:

I've heard many good things about their subs.

That actually looks pretty good, and makes my decision making even more difficult, lol!

Anyone have any experience with these?

I try to stay away from "name Brand" equipment. When things are mass produced, the company tend to go cheap with their parts and assembly... And where is the wow factor and pride when people ask you to pop the trunk and There it is ANOTHER Pioneer or Kicker L7.

Guys at my work crack me up. There is alot of "ghetto" guys there and they say
"Man, I got the Loudest system in Town!"
Then I say " Really? What do you have?"
they reply "2 15" L7'* with a Kicker 1500.1"
I say "how can you have the loudest car in town if there is 5 people on your block with the exact same setup?"

then after work i take em out to my car and put them to shame with 1 15"

I know you arent going for spl.. but same goes for SQ. Minus well put a Jensen 10" sub in the trunk

IMO LOL

I was thinking the same thing. The only reason why I asked is because it was recommended on another forum I posed this same question on.

U really get what u pay for from DD, RE, Fi, ect.
What is the point in paying over $700 for a JL 13W7 when it is outperformed in every way by the likes of Fi, DD, Sundown, RE,
