Default Panasonic 12-disc cd changer

I recently purchased a used 1994 SSEi and in the trunk I discovered a Panasonic 12 disc CD Changer. The previous owner told me it was there when he purchased the car back in 98. I've read that newer Bonnevilles had them installed at the factory, just wondering if anyone knows if 94s had them factory installed also?

If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize in advance.

Not sure if there was a factory option for them, but they are easy to add for hte 94+. The radio uses the same Slave tape/CD and Changer interface as the Chevy radios of the same era.

not sure.. does it control off the radio? or off an FM mod, with a control panel by the steeringwheel?

Not too sure on how it works, but there is a display unit where my ashtray is supposed to go, in front of my shifter. There is no manual for it, and the previous owner apparently lost the remote for it. If it'* an FM mod, do I need to have the radio set to a certain FM frequency or just press the tape button? I'm not too familiar with the radio yet

Can you post a model number? Perhaps an internet search will locate some additional information for you.

Had to actually climb into the trunk to get it, but the model number is CX-DP1200EUC. I tried looking on the internet, found some info, but very limited. I'm in the process of getting info from Panasonic, so I'll see how it goes from there. But thanks for all your input.

If you have a controller like that, it'* an FM modulated one, which would require you to have a specific station set up (try in the 87-91 range. My old sony was 88.7)

If it was a factory one, it would integrate into the radio and you would control it from there so there would be no need for an additional controller.

I have a feeling that it'* an FM mod, tried tuning through the FM channels but there was nothing going on. I think maybe I'll take in somewhere where they can look at it and see how it goes from there.
